AI-Extracted Severity
When processing uploaded survey reports, skyComply automatically determines the severity level of each deficiency based on regulatory language in the document. Terms like “Immediate Jeopardy” or “Actual Harm” are mapped to normalized levels — Critical, High, Medium, or Low — for consistency across all reports.

Risk Level Mappings
Administrators can configure how skyComply interprets severity terminology used in state survey reports. Each mapping links a framework-specific term to a normalized severity level, ensuring accurate and consistent severity assignment during document extraction.
Incidents & Reportable Events
Log falls, altercations, elopements, and other events with structured who / what / where / how intake. Repeat detection watches the same resident, the same pair of residents, the same location, and the same building. A person attests whether the event is state-reportable. Configurable types, tags, bulk upload with a review queue, investigation documents, comments, and a shareable case ID keep the record defensible.
Threshold Rules That Act
A repeat pattern can raise work, not just color a badge. Rules optionally create an assigned task — training, investigation, or care-plan review — once per pattern, then re-arm if the pattern recurs. Evidence is required to close it, like every other compliance task.
Resident Roster
Incidents are attributed to a shared resident identity — typed in, imported from CSV, or synced from a connected EHR. Exact matching is what makes “the same resident, three times” a fact rather than a guess about names.
License Tracking
Track every operating license and certification with tiered expiry alerting, renew-in-place with version history, AI-assisted intake, queued bulk import, and bulk download of certificates from the register.
Policy Playbook

An in-app compliance assistant answers questions from the governed record. skyBrain holds curated facts the assistant may use; only what a person pinned or verified is injected into an answer. Writes are proposed, never silently applied. Skills save recurring analyses as one-click prompts.

Incidents, Determination, and Risk
Incidents are a first-class hub, not a side log.- Determination — On request, AI can suggest whether an event is reportable, with reasoning and the facts it weighed. It writes nothing: a person proposes, an approver confirms. Activity is logged on the case.
- Watch lists — Repeat residents, repeat pairings, and severity trends surface before they become claims.
- Internal investigation — Evidence, notes, rationale, legal hold, and oversight flags stay on the incident. Care-charting excerpts can be pulled from a connected EHR and attached with PHI minimized.
- Insights — Portfolio charts for type, community, and trend; Community Risk ranks sites using incident facts, not only survey tasks.
- Manage Residents — Roster work from community or portfolio view, including DOB/status edits and batch-safe uploads.
ADR Automation (skilled nursing)
Medicare review contractors — CERT, MACs, RACs, SMRC, UPICs — send Additional Documentation Requests with hard, letter-specific deadlines. Non-response means claim denial and recoupment. skyComply reads the letter (including the due date extracted from that letter, not a default), builds the requested-document checklist, retrieves what it can from PointClickCare, highlights the passages that answer each item, and requires per-item human validation. Approval is blocked until every item is validated or explicitly accounted for. The product then assembles a CMS-ordered submission packet with an attestation manifest. Deadline escalation fires at 14, 7, 3, and 1 days, then daily once overdue. Per-item retry recovers a failed chart pull without restarting the case. skyComply prepares, records, and audits the packet — it does not transmit it to the contractor.Mock Surveys (optional)
When enabled for an instance, regionals can run an internal mock survey before a surveyor arrives. The visit workspace covers scheduling, checklist-by-exception, findings (with optional regulation tags and photos), affirmations, entrance and exit conference, and release. Communities write a Plan of Correction per finding in the same format used for real SOD POCs, with optional AI draft. Corrective tasks live on their own stream so they do not inflate the live compliance score. After release, teams export a self-identified-correction packet in CMS-2567 shape, stamped internal — there is no path to submit a mock survey to the state. Checklists are imported from spreadsheets, reviewed, then published as versioned templates. Mock Survey is off by default until your Skypoint administrator enables it.Editions
